"Living Roots: The Promise of Perennial Foods " Book Launch
Red Fern Booksellers in Salina, Kansas, hosts Aubrey Streit Krug, Director of the Perennial Cultures Lab at The Land Institute, for the launch of the new "Living Roots" book, which she co-edited with fellow author Liz Carlisle. Aubrey will lead and moderate a conversation about the book’s themes alongside scientists from The Land Institute and members of our community. This event is free to attend and open to the public.
"Living Roots: The Promise of Perennial Foods" incorporates perspectives from experts across numerous backgrounds and lived experiences to examine the promise of perennial foods such as perennial grains, indigenous food forests, fruit trees, nuts, berries, and more for sustaining communities and protecting the health of our shared planet.
