South High School to Receive $478,806 in New Bleachers and Press Box

South High School will receive new bleachers and a press box at a cost of $478,806 after the Board of Education approved the expenditure from Heartland Seating.

The project was one of several encumbrance listings approved by the board, which also included $30,998.92 for a pole vault pit installation and $30,486 for all-weather structural spray for new concrete runways at the South High track.

The bleachers and press box project represents the largest single expenditure among the approved items. The improvements will be made to South High School's athletic field facilities.

The board approved the expenditures as part of the consent agenda in a 6-0 vote.
