Man Arrested After Domestic Disturbance at Salina Inn
Salina police arrested a 45-year-old man following a domestic disturbance at the Salina Inn, 636 Westport Boulevard, late Thursday night.
Officers were called to the location around 11 p.m. on October 17 after reports of a verbal and physical altercation between a man and a woman. The confrontation reportedly began in the hotel’s bar and continued into a room, where the man allegedly struck the woman in the face and held a pillow over her face, causing her difficulty breathing.
The woman sustained a bloody mouth but did not lose consciousness. She declined medical treatment at the scene.
Officers located a pillow with blood on it, which was collected as evidence. The man, identified as Simon Brauwn, was arrested on requested charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. Police records list the Salina Inn as his residence.
The case remains under investigation.
