Man Arrested on Park Street for Trespassing and Assault on Officers
Salina police arrested a 33-year-old man Sunday evening after a trespassing incident escalated into an assault on officers.
Officers responded around 7:30 p.m. on October 18 to a residence in the 1100 block of Park Street, where the property owner, a 28-year-old woman, reported that Tyler Wolf was refusing to leave her home. The woman, who knew Wolf, locked herself in the garage after he refused to leave.
According to police, Wolf, who was reportedly intoxicated, threw a full beer can that narrowly missed the woman and struck two officers with its contents. He was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, assault, battery, and obstruction.
Police confirmed that the trespassing charge was based on the property owner instructing Wolf to leave and his refusal to comply. The case remains under investigation.
