Woman Arrested for Trespassing on North 10th Street
Salina police arrested a 50-year-old woman for trespassing on Saturday morning in the 200 block of North 10th Street.
Officers responded to a call at approximately 8 a.m. after the property owner found Verlana K. DeLorenzo, a homeless woman, sleeping on the back porch. The owner, who was familiar with DeLorenzo, said she had previously advised not be on the property due to past incidents.
DeLorenzo initially left the premises but returned shortly afterward, prompting her arrest. Police reported that she was not experiencing a severe mental health crisis at the time, though she was described as having a “mental health day.” She was charged with two counts of trespassing.
