Woman Arrested Near South Santa Fe After Resisting Officers
Salina police arrested a 25-year-old woman Sunday after she resisted officers during an arrest related to an outstanding warrant.
Officers were called to the 400 block of South Santa Fe at approximately 8:20 a.m. on October 19 regarding an individual with an active warrant. The suspect, identified as Mariah Peterson, was pursued and detained near 12th and Morrison, some distance from the initial location.
During the arrest, Peterson resisted and fought with officers. She was secured using a body wrap and transported to a hospital for clearance before being taken to jail. Peterson faces charges of interference/obstruction and for the outstanding warrant from Saline County District Court.
The case remains under investigation.
