Woman Arrested on State Street for Domestic Battery and Obstruction

Salina police arrested a 31-year-old woman Sunday following a domestic disturbance in the 800 block of State Street.
Officers were called after Estelle Key reportedly slapped a 36-year-old man, with whom she shares children, during an argument in the front yard of their home. The altercation, which stemmed from a disagreement about their child, was witnessed by a third party who provided an account to police.
Both parties were initially uncooperative with officers. Key resisted arrest by not following officer instructions. No injuries were reported, and no children were present during the incident.
Key was arrested and charged with domestic battery and obstruction of justice. The case remains under investigation.
