Saline County Proclaims Operation Greenlight for Veterans, Nov. 4–11
The Saline County Commission approved an Operation Greenlight proclamation designating November 4–11, 2025 as a week to honor veterans and their families.
The initiative encourages county facilities, local businesses, and residents to illuminate green lights to show support for those who served.
Operation Greenlight is a nationwide effort timed to Veterans Day that invites communities to publicly recognize the service and sacrifice of veterans.
Saline County’s proclamation aligns with similar efforts across Kansas and the country and is intended to raise visibility for veteran-related services and support networks.
The proclamation takes effect November 4 and runs through November 11, covering the week of Veterans Day.
County officials said they will help promote awareness during the campaign window and encouraged the community to participate by lighting storefronts, homes, and public spaces in green.
