Salina Police Investigating Burglary at Fire-Damaged Home

Salina Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence in the 700 block of North Third Street following a house fire. The 66-year-old homeowner reported the burglary on October 31 after returning to the property around 3 p.m.

The home had caught fire the previous night, but the fire was not deemed suspicious and did not completely destroy the structure. When the resident returned, he discovered several items missing, including a 1990s model Ibanez guitar, a 1990s Fender Precision Bass guitar with its case, a 20-inch Vizio television, and a Stanley battery jump box. A safe inside the home was damaged but not taken.

A possible suspect has been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
