Vehicle Break-In Reported in 400 Block of Missouri

Salina Police are investigating an attempted vehicle theft that occurred around 1:00 a.m. on November 9 in the 400 block of Missouri.

A resident reported discovering their unlocked 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with its emergency lights flashing. Upon checking the vehicle, the owner found damage to the steering column consistent with a break-in attempt. No items were reported stolen.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $500. There are no suspects at this time. Police remind residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables, including firearms and financial documents.
