Salina Police Investigating Reports of Gunfire on Midland Street
At approximately 2:45 a.m., officers with the Salina Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Midland after a report of possible gunshots and a vehicle rapidly leaving the area.
Upon arrival, officers located several shell casings in the street but found no visible property damage or injuries connected to the incident. Witnesses did not see the event firsthand and were unable to provide any description of the suspect vehicle, only noting that a car was heard speeding away.
The number of shots reported was estimated between three and five, though that figure has not been confirmed. Investigators are reviewing the area for surveillance cameras that may have captured footage related to the incident.
