Grammy Winner Christopher Cross to Perform At Stiefel Theatre March 21
Christopher Cross will perform on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 pm.
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 21 at 10 am.
Cross gained recognition with his 1980 self-titled debut album, winning five Grammy Awards including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (all for "Sailing"), and Best New Artist—the first artist in Grammy history to win all four major categories in one year.
Over a career spanning more than four decades, Cross has sold over 10 million albums. His achievements include five Grammy Awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy nomination, and five Top 10 singles.
Cross co-wrote "Arthur's Theme" with Burt Bacharach for the movie Arthur, which won an Academy Award for Best Song. His 1983 release Another Page produced Top 10 singles "All Right" and "Think of Laura."
His song "Swept Away," composed for the television series Growing Pains, received an Emmy nomination.
Since 2007, Cross has released eight albums on his own label, including A Christopher Cross Christmas, The Café Carlyle Sessions, and Take Me as I Am (2018).
His 2020 release The Complete Works celebrates his 40th anniversary as a recording artist and includes a collection of all 12 previously-released CDs, a CD of singles and bonus tracks, and pink vinyl featuring one track from each album.
