Police Investigating Multiple Burglaries Reported December 19
Police are investigating three burglaries reported between December 18 and 19, which authorities believe may be connected.
The first burglary was reported at the Boy Scouts of America facility, 644 South Ohio. Employees discovered forced entry at the rear of the building. Several offices inside the facility had been ransacked, and items reported stolen included food, cash, and a metal object. Additional property damage was reported. The estimated loss in this case exceeded $3,000.
A second burglary was reported at All Eyes on You Salon, 905 East Prescott, located near the Boy Scouts facility. Employees also discovered forced entry upon arrival. Items stolen included gift cards, a laptop, and cash. Total losses, including property damage, were estimated at more than $4,000.
A third burglary was reported in the 600 block of Guernsey. Authorities said an unknown suspect entered an unlocked attached garage overnight between December 18 and 19. Items stolen included a tackle box, a lighter, and a wallet containing cash and credit cards, with an estimated loss of approximately $150. Investigators noted that items belonging to the Boy Scouts of America were found inside the garage, linking this incident to the earlier burglary.
Officials stated all three incidents are being investigated as potentially connected cases. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify suspects, trace stolen property, and gather additional evidence.
