State Commission Revokes Former Saline County Deputy Certification

The Kansas Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training (KS-CPOST) has issued a Summary Order of Revocation for former Saline County Sheriff’s Office deputy Nathan Kingery, according to a commission order filed under case number 2025-117.

In the order, KS-CPOST states Kingery was employed by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office from July 1, 2024, through Aug. 25, 2025. The commission found that on Aug. 16, 2025, two civil process documents were marked as attempted service (“NC”) even though service attempts had not occurred.

The order states GPS data from the patrol vehicle did not place Kingery at the service addresses. KS-CPOST further states Kingery later admitted to falsifying the civil process documents and to lying when questioned on Aug. 20, 2025.

KS-CPOST concluded the conduct met the definition of unprofessional conduct under K.A.R. 106-2-3(i)(1) and revoked certification under K.S.A. 74-5616. The order notes respondents may request a hearing within the statutory timeframe listed on the certificate of service.
