Southeast of Saline Names Ted Brown as Superintendent
The Southeast of Saline USD 306 Board of Education has selected Ted Brown as the district's next superintendent following a comprehensive search process that included input from staff, families, and community members.
Brown currently serves as superintendent of Ingalls USD 477, a position he has held since January 2025. He previously served as principal there starting in 2020, and began his career in education as a teacher and coach in Ingalls before also working in Hiawatha and Clay Center.
The board thanked everyone who participated in the selection process through surveys, meetings, and candidate visits. Stakeholder feedback emphasized the need for strong communication, transparency, and responsible resource management—qualities the board says Brown exemplifies.
"We are confident that this individual's leadership style, commitment to collaboration, and focus on responsible stewardship of district resources align closely with the priorities shared by our community," the board stated.
Brown will replace Roger Stumpf, who is retiring effective June 30, 2026, after serving three years as the 7-12th grade principal and eight years as superintendent.
The board invited the community to welcome Brown as he brings his leadership and vision to support student success across the district.
