The female inmate population at the Saline County Jail has fallen significantly in March, averaging 28.5 per day compared to 33.5 in February — a 15% month-over-month decline. As of March 15, the count stands at 28, down from a high of 40 recorded earlier in the tracked dataset and below the historical average of 30.1.

The February peak reached 36 on February 26, but figures have steadily declined since then. March opened with counts in the low 30s before dropping into the upper 20s by mid-month. The current stretch of four consecutive days at 28 represents a relatively stable plateau at this lower level.
