Obituary for Julie Kae Grauerholz

July 18, 1963 - March 23, 2026

Julie Kae Grauerholz (62), of Hays, Kansas, passed away on March 23, 2026. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and niece.

Julie attended church in Hays, Kansas and thoroughly enjoyed attending Bible study at North Oak Community Church.

Julie was a member of the Master Gardeners program. She liked to spend time caring for, and taking photos of flowers and plants.

Julie worked with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed bringing food to those in need.

Julie loved watching butterflies, spending time with her cats, scrapbooking, and was an avid Star Trek fan.

Julie is survived by her parents, Darold and Joyce Grauerholz of Kensington, Kansas; her sister, Kristi (Shannon) Rothchild of Smith Center, Kansas; her brother, Dr. Byron (Leanne) Grauerholz of Salina, Kansas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 10:30am St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Kensington, Kansas.  A celebration of life service in Hays, Kansas will be scheduled at a later date.
