Salina’s recent run of ribbon cuttings and business activity offered another clear sign that local growth is happening across multiple sectors. In healthcare, food service, specialty retail and agriculture, the past month brought several examples of expansion and investment, with the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce playing a central role in highlighting that momentum.

Over the past 30 days, the Chamber helped celebrate several business milestones across the community.

At Eaglecrest, community leaders and supporters gathered for the ribbon cutting for Accessible Home Care, LLC, which opened a dedicated office space inside Eaglecrest Retirement Community. The new location allows the company to provide on-site nursing and therapy services directly to residents, expanding access to care in a way that is more convenient and personal.

The Chamber also celebrated La Morenita Mexican Restaurant, marking the business’s one-year anniversary and recognizing a full year of serving customers in Salina. The event highlighted both the restaurant’s milestone and the importance of locally owned businesses continuing to establish themselves in the community.

Another recent ribbon cutting welcomed Howard Wagyu to Salina. The family-owned business brings premium meats, cheeses and specialty products to the local market, adding another example of entrepreneurial investment in the city.

Taken together, those milestones point to growth that is not limited to one part of the local economy. They reflect activity across several industries and show a community continuing to create new opportunities through both new business openings and established businesses reaching important benchmarks.

That broader picture was also reflected in one of the Chamber’s biggest annual events.

The 61st Annual Mid America Farm Expo was held March 25-27, 2026, at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center and the Saline County Livestock and Expo Center. Hosted by the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, the expo has grown into one of the largest spring farm shows in the Midwest, featuring more than 200 exhibitors from across the United States and drawing thousands of attendees each year.

Beyond being a major annual event, the Farm Expo reinforced Salina’s role as a regional hub for agriculture, commerce and business connections. It brought exhibitors, attendees and industry activity into the city while also underscoring the Chamber’s role in supporting growth at both the local and regional level.

In practical terms, Salina’s recent momentum has shown up in several forms: expanded healthcare access for residents, continued success for local restaurants, new family-owned retail investment and a long-running agricultural event with regional reach.

Viewed together, the recent ribbon cuttings and the Farm Expo reflected a community continuing to grow, attract investment and create opportunity. The Chamber has remained in the middle of much of that activity, helping connect business development, community visibility and regional engagement.
