2026 Property Valuation Notices Sent to Saline County Homeowners
Saline County property owners should be watching their mailboxes.
The Saline County Appraiser’s Office has announced that 2026 real estate valuation notices have been mailed, reflecting the market value of properties as of Jan. 1, 2026. County officials said informal hearings are available for property owners who have questions or believe their valuation should be reviewed.
For many homeowners, the notice is one of the first major indicators of how rising or changing property values could affect them this year. While a valuation notice is not the same as a tax bill, it is an important step in the property tax process and often draws attention from residents trying to understand how their home’s assessed value compares to prior years.
The county said the valuation notices are based on the local real estate market as of the start of the year. Property owners who disagree with their valuation can request an informal hearing through the Appraiser’s Office.
The mailing sets up what is often a closely watched period for homeowners across Saline County, especially as residents continue to monitor housing prices, assessed values and their possible effect on future tax obligations.
