Knopf Auto & Truck Accessories named Equity Bank Business of the Month
For this month's Equity Bank Business of the Month, we sat down with Nathan Knopf of Knopf Auto & Truck Accessories to talk about experience, quality, and why doing the job right the first time still matters.
Knopf Auto opened in 1996 in rural Salina, with truck accessories becoming the main focus after Nathan expanded that side of the business in 2001. The business describes itself as a local, family-owned, Central Kansas truck accessory shop and says it continues to test products, gather customer feedback, and stay current on newer accessories and industry trends.
Knopf Auto has built a strong reputation in the Salina area by focusing on truck accessories, professional installation, and products that hold up over time. During the conversation, Nathan said one area where that matters most is spray-on bed liners.
According to Nathan, he has been spraying VORTEX liners exclusively in Salina for over 25 years. He said not every liner job is applied correctly, and that experience makes a major difference in both the finished product and its long-term durability. In his view, the most important aspects are preparation, application, and choosing a high-quality product from the start.
The VORTEX product is a sprayed-on liner designed to bond directly to the truck bed, help prevent rust and corrosion, reduce road noise, and provide a durable non-skid surface. The liner is a polyurethane and polyurea blend, and, a few years back, manufacturing was moved to Salina, Kansas.
The focus on quality fits with the broader approach at Knopf Auto. The business offers a wide range of truck and vehicle accessories, including truck bed liners, grill guards, bumpers, bed covers, step products, hitches, lift and leveling kits, and Jeep accessories. On its website, Knopf Auto highlights brands in its lift and leveling lineup, such as Skyjacker, ProComp, ReadyLift, SuperLift, Rancho, Rubicon, and Fabtech.
For Nathan, though, the conversation came back to a simple point: quality work and experience still matter. In a world full of shortcuts, cheaper options, and products that do not always last, Knopf Auto has continued to build its business around doing things professionally and helping customers avoid having to pay twice for the same job.
That commitment to craftsmanship, product knowledge, and long-term value is what made Knopf Auto & Truck Accessories a strong choice for any aftermarket needs you may have for your truck or SUV. Click Here to connect with Knopf Auto
