Obituary for Bill E. Pratt
June 24, 1941 - March 28, 2026

Bill E. Pratt passed away on March 28, 2026 peacefully after a long struggle with cancer with his family by his side.
Bill was born on June 24th, 1941, in his parents’ home in Salina, Kansas. His parents were William F. Pratt and Mary Baer Pratt.
Bill attended Salina High School, graduating in 1960. He went to work for his dad’s electrical company after high school.
Bill married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen Napier in 1962 and they shared 63 happy years together, raising their three daughters and building their business. In 1964, Bill, his dad and Bill’s good friend, Warren Merrill joined together to form B & W Electrical Contractors Inc. Their business grew over the years, with contracts for the electrical work on many schools, hospitals, nursing homes and more all-around Kansas and Nebraska. Bill retired in 2002.
They loved to travel by car visiting almost every state. Bill was an avid gardener and nature lover. Bill always had the companionship of his beloved dogs. He enjoyed the company of his daughters and their families, showing them the places he loved and sharing his experience of the world.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Napier Pratt, daughters Karen Lynn Gebhardt, Lori Ann Perez (Tom), and Julie Marie Leiker (Garry). Sibling, Norita Pratt Whightsil, Brother-in-law James Napier (Lou) Grandchildren, Elizabeth Parrish, Nicholas Gebhardt, Jordan Gebhardt (Dana), Christopher Gebhardt, (KeShawnda), Tommy Perez (Jamie), Joshua Perez (Gretchen), Jaide Perez, Shane Perez, Billie Weaver, Cole Leiker and 14 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sibling, Mildred (Pratt) Wiggins, sister-in-law Rosemary (Napier) Amend and brother-in-law David Napier.
With respect for Bill’s wishes, there will be no services. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.

Kaye Marlene Calhoun, 81, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Friday, March 27th, 206.
Kaye was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 26, 1944, a daughter of Margaret (Robinson) and Spencer Symington.
Survivors includer her husband, WIlliam Calhoun; daughter, Cheryl Calhoun, of Salina, Kansas; and brother, David Symington and his wife, Jo, of Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Kaye's wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Salina YMCA, sent in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
