CTA Holds Auditions for Alice in Wonderland Summer Production

The Center for Theatre Arts (CTA) will hold auditions for its SummerStage 2026 production of "Alice in Wonderland, Jr." on Saturday, April 18.

Based on Lewis Carroll's classic novel and the Disney animated film, the musical features beloved characters including the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, and Tweedledee & Tweedledum. With 24 different roles available, young actors will explore fantasy theater with full production design including lights, sets, and costumes.

Audition Details

Auditions are open to students currently in grades 3-8. Participants should prepare:

An accompanist and audio hookups will be provided. CTA emphasizes that perfection is not expected—auditions simply showcase where students are in their performing arts development. The April 18 audition is for program entry; students will audition for specific roles during the first week of camp.

Camp Information

SummerStage runs Monday, June 15 through Friday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The four-week day camp culminates in a full weekend of performances July 10-12, with shows Friday night, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon.

Tuition is $500. Scholarships are available providing up to 40% tuition relief.
