Graduation Season Nears as Saline County Schools Set May Ceremony Dates

Graduation season is now in sight across Saline County, with commencement ceremonies scheduled over a 10-day stretch in May for several local high schools.

The first ceremony on the local calendar is Sacred Heart Jr./Sr. High School, which is set to hold graduation at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina.

The following weekend, Ell-Saline is scheduled to hold its high school graduation at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.

For Salina USD 305, both high school graduation ceremonies are planned for Sunday, May 17, at Tony’s Pizza Events Center. Salina Central High School is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., followed by Salina South High School at 5 p.m.

The final high school commencement currently listed among Saline County schools is Southeast of Saline, with graduation scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.

With ceremonies spread across multiple schools and communities, May is shaping up to be one of the busiest times of the year for local students, families, and school staff. Graduation marks the close of the academic year and one of the biggest milestones on the school calendar, bringing together communities across Saline County to celebrate the Class of 2026.
