Salina Gas Prices Jump to $3.59

Salina drivers are feeling the pinch at the pump as gas prices jumped to $3.59 per gallon on April 9—a 20-cent increase in just four days from the $3.39 recorded on April 5.

The spike is part of a broader upward trend driven largely by escalating tensions with Iran, which have created uncertainty in global oil markets and pushed fuel costs higher across the country.

The weekly average hit $3.40, up from $3.00 the previous week—a 13.3 percent increase. That marks a sustained climb from the $2.54 to $2.89 range Salina saw in early March.

April's average so far stands at $3.46, compared to March's $3.04 monthly average, representing a roughly 14 percent month-over-month jump.
