Saline County Starts Early Push Ahead of Aug. 4 Primary Election
Saline County begins getting word out early on Aug. 4 primary election
The Aug. 4, 2026 primary election is still months away, but Saline County is already getting information out to voters.
Saline County recently posted an early election notice outlining the date, voting hours and the offices that will appear on the primary ballot, giving residents a chance to start planning ahead well before Election Day.
According to the county, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, and voters will also have access to Advance by Mail and Early Voting options ahead of the election.
The primary election will determine one candidate from each political party who will advance for several major federal, state and local offices.
Offices listed by the county for the Aug. 4 primary include:
United States Senate
United States House of Representatives, 1st District
Governor/Lt. Governor
Secretary of State
Attorney General
State Treasurer
Commissioner of Insurance
State Representative for the 69th, 71st and 107th districts
State Senate, 24th District, for the unexpired term
State Board of Education, 7th District
County Commissioner for the 1st, 4th and 5th districts
Township Clerk for Cambria, Elm Creek, Eureka, Falun, Glendale, Gypsum, Liberty, Ohio, Pleasant Valley, Smoky Hill, Smoky View, Smolan, Solomon, Spring Creek, Walnut and Washington townships
In addition to those races, the county said each precinct and township in Saline County will also elect party officers for Committeewoman and Committeeman.
While the election is still well down the road, the county’s early notice gives voters a first look at what will be on the ballot and serves as a reminder to begin paying attention to deadlines and voting options in the months ahead.
