Saline County Primary Election Set for August 4, 2026
Saline County voters will head to the polls on August 4, 2026, for the primary election. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and advance voting by mail and early voting options will also be available.
Voters will nominate one Democratic and one Republican candidate for several federal and state offices, including United States Senate, United States House of Representatives for the 1st District, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Treasurer, and Commissioner of Insurance. State legislative races on the ballot include State Representative for the 69th, 71st, and 107th Districts, as well as State Senate for the 24th District to fill an unexpired term. The State Board of Education seat for the 7th District is also up for nomination.
At the county level, voters will nominate candidates for County Commissioner in the 1st, 4th, and 5th Districts. Township Clerk positions will appear on the ballot for 16 townships: Cambria, Elm Creek, Eureka, Falun, Glendale, Gypsum, Liberty, Ohio, Pleasant Valley, Smoky Hill, Smoky View, Smolan, Solomon, Spring Creek, Walnut, and Washington.
Each precinct and township will also hold elections for party leadership positions, including Committeewoman and Committeeman.
