Obituary for Brian Ray Hunter
June 29, 1967 - April 14, 2026

Brian Ray Hunter of Salina Kansas passed away at his home on April ,14th 2026. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Gary and Barb (Baier) Hunter.
He graduated from Salina South High in 1985 before going on to complete a degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas in 1990. After closing Health Span, his personal training gym, Brian felt called to pastoral work and earned a Master’s in Divinity from Calvary Bible College in Belton, Missouri in 1999. Years later, he decided to pursue an interest in computer science, spending hours training and testing to acquire his status as Computer Technician.
By 2017, Brian settled back in Salina to assist his dad’s physical recovery. This was Brian’s heart. He counted his blessings and wanted to share them, happily and readily helping those he loved. He had recently begun dedicating time and resources to The WellHouse of Alabama, a Christian based agency serving victims of human trafficking.
Brian found great joy chatting with and supporting his four kids, being silly and beloved PopPop to his three grandkids, acting as the family’s reliant tech guy, collecting movies for everyone on the server he managed, and watching said movies with little sidekick Tika the Chihuahua in his lap or at his feet.
Brian was preceded in death by his dad, Gary Hunter.
He is survived by his mom Barb of Salina; his children Levi (Kellie), Zachariah, Jacob, and Abigail (Aaron) Hunter; grandchildren Jordan, Jasmine, and Levi Junior Hunter; his companion Tika the Chihuahua; his sister Janis (Arron) Lewis, nieces Jordan and Ashley and nephew Evan Lewis; and his cousin Betty Barnes and family Trisha (Tony) Wood, Elizabeth, Lexi, and Livi.”
At this time no services will take place.
