Salina Police Department to Host Annual Cops & Bobbers Event at Lakewood Park
The Salina Police Department will hold its annual Cops & Bobbers fishing event at Lakewood Park. The morning session, running from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., gives children the opportunity to fish alongside local law enforcement officers. Fishing equipment will be provided, and prizes will be awarded. Participation is limited to 150 children, and free registration is currently open through the city's online recreation portal.
A separate afternoon session, open to the general public from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., will feature family-oriented activities including bounce houses, a foam pit, face painting, and airbrush tattoos.
Several food vendors are scheduled to be on site during the afternoon portion, including 805 Tacos, Kona Ice, and RJ Winn Concessions. A specific date for the event was not listed in the department's announcement.
