TheatreSalina to Stage Adaptation of Stephen King's 'Misery'
TheatreSalina in Salina, KS, has announced a production of the psychological thriller "Misery," based on Stephen King's novel of the same name.
The story centers on Paul Sheldon, a successful romance novelist who is rescued from a car crash only to find himself held captive in the secluded home of Annie Wilkes, a woman who identifies herself as his biggest fan. After reading his latest manuscript and discovering that Sheldon has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain, Wilkes forces the author to write a new novel under increasingly dangerous circumstances.

Auditions are set for August 9, 10.
