Salina Family YMCA Launches Faith-Based Cycling Class
The Salina Family YMCA is launching a new faith-based cycling class designed to combine fitness, worship music and early-morning reflection.
The class, called Praise & Pedal, will begin Thursday, May 7, and will be offered weekly from 4:45 to 5:15 a.m.
The indoor cycling class is designed for participants who want to start the day with movement, encouragement and a faith-centered atmosphere. The class will include worship music while offering the physical benefits of a traditional cycling workout.
Praise & Pedal will be led by Annie Woodruff, the YMCA’s newest group fitness instructor. Woodruff brings an interest in fitness, community and faith to the new class.
“We wanted to offer something that speaks to the whole person; mind, body, and spirit,” said Stacy Serrault, Group Exercise Coordinator at the Salina Family YMCA. “Praise & Pedal is a chance for members to connect with their fitness goals while also grounding themselves in gratitude and encouragement.”
The class is free for YMCA members. Non-members may also attend by purchasing a day pass.
More information about Praise & Pedal and other group fitness classes is available through the Salina Family YMCA.
