Salina Central Football Team Receives State Championship Rings

The 2025vSalina Central Football Team celebrated their 5A state championship with a ring ceremony Sunday evening at Salina Stadium, honoring their historic victory over Basehor-Linwood.

The Mustangs defeated Basehor-Linwood 51-34 in the state championship game, securing their first state title in 20 years. The last time Salina Central claimed a state football championship was in 2005.

Jeff Heling with Jostens presented the championship rings to the team as family members and friends looked on to share in the celebration.
