Salina Family YMCA Offers Summer Mini Sports Camps for Youth


The Salina Family YMCA is offering Summer Mini Sports Camps for youth ages 6 to 14, giving kids and teens a chance to stay active and build athletic skills throughout the summer.

The weekly camps are designed to introduce participants to a variety of sports while focusing on fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship and confidence.

Each week will feature a different sport, with options including soccer, baseball, volleyball, basketball, kickball, pickleball and sports performance training. Sessions will include skills, drills and gameplay, allowing participants to learn the basics while also getting time to compete and play.

The camps will be divided by age group and held in the mornings throughout the summer. YMCA officials said the format is intended to provide a consistent summer activity option for families while helping young athletes try new sports and improve overall athletic ability.

Registration is now open through the Salina Family YMCA. Member and non-member pricing options are available.
