Carlos O’Kelly’s has closed its Salina location.

Salina311 reached out to Carlos O’Kelly’s and confirmed with a company representative that the Salina restaurant has closed. The restaurant was located at 2259 S. Ninth Street, in the Central Mall.

The confirmation follows recent uncertainty surrounding the restaurant’s status after storm damage and continued closure issues at Central Mall. While several businesses in and around the mall area have been affected by repairs, cleanup and access restrictions, Carlos O’Kelly’s has now confirmed its Salina location is closed.

The restaurant had been part of Salina’s South Ninth Street dining corridor, serving Mexican-inspired food in an area that includes several national chains, local restaurants, retail stores and entertainment businesses.

No additional details were immediately provided regarding the reason for the closure or whether the company has future plans for the Salina market.

The closure leaves another vacant restaurant space along one of Salina’s busiest commercial corridors.
