A Bucket of Wings Takes the Top Spot as Food Row’s Priciest Bite
Buried in the posted menus for the Smoky Hill River Festival is the biggest food item found in the current menu data reviewed so far: a $50 bucket of chicken wings from Fargo Fillies. The vendor lists both Boneless Wings - 48oz Bucket and Traditional Wings - 48oz Bucket at $50. That makes the wing bucket the highest-priced food item found on the posted Food Row menus reviewed for this series.
The Big Bucket
The Fargo Fillies menu includes several wing options, starting with smaller orders and climbing from there.
| Fargo Fillies Wing Item | Price |
| Boneless Wings - 8pc | $12 |
| Boneless Wings - 12pc | $16 |
| Boneless Wings - 24oz Bucket | $30 |
| Boneless Wings - 48oz Bucket | $50 |
| Traditional Wings - 6pc | $12 |
| Traditional Wings - 10pc | $16 |
| Traditional Wings - 24oz Bucket | $30 |
| Traditional Wings - 48oz Bucket | $50 |
The $50 wing buckets sit above the next-highest items found in the reviewed menu data, including The Bucket Nacho from Bucket List BBQ at $25 and several $20 items from other vendors. Bucket List BBQ lists The Bucket Nacho as chips, cheese, beans and three meats.
A Festival Food Flex
Food Row has more than 30 vendors, with menus ranging from barbecue and Asian food to Tex-Mex, Cajun food and traditional festival treats. The festival page describes Food Row as having “something for everyone,” which apparently includes people who look at a normal order of wings and decide it lacks ambition.
The $50 bucket is not the cheapest way to eat at the festival. That was the point of the first story, which focused on exact $4 food items. This is the other side of the menu: the “go big or go home” option.
