Central Mall Reopening Timeline Uncertain (VIDEO OF ROOF)

Central Mall management has issued a statement addressing ongoing repairs and circulating rumors about the property's status.

The mall remains closed to the public with no confirmed reopening date at this time. According to the statement, roofing contractors are working daily to install a new roof across the property's more than 200,000 square feet of roofing area.

Mall management specifically addressed what they called "false information circulating on social media," emphasizing that the large-scale roofing project "requires significant time and coordination to complete properly."

The recovery effort has faced additional setbacks since the initial storm on April 27th. Three subsequent storms have caused further damage to interior portions of the mall and complicated ongoing restoration work.

"Mall ownership and contractors remain committed to restoring the property safely and efficiently, and we appreciate the continued patience and understanding from our tenants and the community during this process," the statement concluded.
