Animal Cruelty Case Against Former Salina Shelter Employees Set for September Jury Trial
A jury trial has been scheduled for September 8, 9 and 10 in the animal cruelty case involving Monique Hawley and Andrea Murphy.
The case is connected to allegations involving the Salina Animal Shelter. During the latest court proceedings, Hawley and Murphy waived the formal reading of the charges. The judge entered not guilty pleas on their behalf.
A motions and pretrial hearing is scheduled for August 28 at 9 a.m.
Both defendants are facing animal cruelty charges. The case remains pending in court, and the charges are only allegations unless and until proven in court.
