Amy Angela Rau

Amy Angela Rau, 57, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2026, following complications during surgery.

Amy was born on January 16, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, and was lovingly raised by her parents, Jeffrey and Patricia Reynolds.

To know Amy was to know compassion, strength, and selfless love. She dedicated more than 25 years of her life to nursing, specializing in geriatrics, home health, and hospice care. Caring for others was not simply what she did, it was who she was. Whether comforting a patient, supporting a family during difficult moments, or offering a helping hand to a friend, Amy always put the needs of others before her own.

Above all else, Amy loved her family. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, whether it was sharing stories, making memories, or simply being together. She also had a special love for her puppies, bright sunflowers, and serving others in any way she could. Her heart was generous, her spirit was kind, and her love was unwavering.

Amy is survived by her children, Nicole (Richard), Brandon (Tiffany), and Austin; her beloved grandchildren, Carter, Jasper, and Allison; her father, Jeffrey Reynolds; her brother, Aaron Reynolds; and countless family members, friends, coworkers, and patients whose lives were made better because of her presence.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Reynolds.

Amy was a warrior who fought until her very last breath. Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is finally at peace.

Amy’s greatest gift was the love she shared with others. Whether through her work as a nurse, her devotion to her family, or the countless acts of kindness she extended to those around her, she left a lasting mark on every life she touched. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel.

A celebration of Amy’s life will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, love, and support shown during this difficult time.

Memorials may be made to Interim HealthCare of Salina, in care of Heier Scott Mortuary and Cremations, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401.
