Tornado Watch Issued for Salina as Severe Weather Moves Through Again

Salina experienced a brief tornado warning at 7:30 p.m. this evening as severe weather moved through the area. Rotation was spotted and captured on camera, and hail was reported falling across Saline County.
A tornado watch remains in effect for the region until 9:00 p.m. CDT.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning
A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 8:15 p.m. CDT for northeastern Saline County.
As of 7:42 p.m., the severe thunderstorm was located near New Cambria, approximately 7 miles east of Salina, moving east at 25 mph.
Hazards: 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar-size hail
Expected impacts: Hail damage to vehicles is expected, along with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Affected locations: New Cambria and Kipp, including Interstate 70 between mile markers 260 and 266.
