A Vet-to-Vet Café for local veterans is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Salina VFW, 1108 W. Crawford St.
The gathering is presented by Gentiva Hospice and sponsored by Synergy HR Solutions and Marketing Angle, LLC. Organizers describe the café as a time for veterans in the community to listen, share stories and enjoy refreshments together.
Breakfast will be provided and is expected to include a Mexican breakfast with potatoes and meat, Joe’s famous beans, Mexican rice, tortillas and sweet pastries.

Synergy HR Solutions also recently sponsored Day 11 of Family Preservation Month with Safe Families for Children - North Central Kansas. Mai-Lin Wohler, vice president of human resources for Synergy, said the company chose the 11th because its brand is “We are with you every step of the way,” and eleven represents taking one extra step beyond the basics.
“That’s the heart of how we support families, clients, and our community,” Wohler said.
Safe Families for Children is highlighting June sponsors as part of Family Preservation Month, with sponsorships supporting work to keep children safe and families together in the community.
