Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Head-Butting Officer at Hospital
A Salina man was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly refusing to leave Salina Regional Health Center and battering a law enforcement officer.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers responded to Salina Regional Health Center at approximately 4:30 a.m. on June 24, 2026, after receiving a report of a subject refusing to leave hospital property.
Hospital staff reported that 53-year-old Phillip Ledesma of Salina had arrived seeking medical treatment. After being evaluated and released, Ledesma allegedly refused repeated requests to leave the facility.
When officers attempted to place Ledesma under arrest for trespassing, he reportedly resisted. During the encounter, Ledesma allegedly head-butted one of the officers.
Officers were able to take Ledesma into custody and transport him to the Saline County Jail.
Ledesma was booked on requested charges of:
•Trespassing
•Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer
•Interference with Law Enforcement
No information regarding injuries to the officer was immediately released.
