Salina Man Arrested After Resisting Officers During Warrant Arrest
A Salina man was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly resisting officers who were attempting to serve an outstanding warrant.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers responded at approximately 7:50 p.m. on June 25, 2026, to the intersection of Cloud Street and Broadway Boulevard for a welfare check involving a man who was reportedly acting suspiciously.
Upon arrival, an officer recognized the individual as 44-year-old Brandon L. Paul of Salina. A records check revealed Paul had an active Saline County District Court warrant for failure to appear.
When officers attempted to take Paul into custody, he allegedly resisted and shoved an officer. Additional officers responded to assist, and the Wrap restraint system was utilized to safely secure him.
Paul was transported to Salina Regional Health Center for medical clearance before being taken to the Saline County Jail.
He was booked on the outstanding warrant as well as requested charges of:
•Battery of a Law Enforcement Officer
•Interference with Law Enforcement
Authorities reported that no officers were injured during the incident.
