Mill and Inlay Work Continues June 29 in South Salina
Mill and inlay work is scheduled to continue Monday, June 29, as crews finish placing an asphalt overlay on Vortex in south Salina.
APAC Shears of Salina is expected to complete work on Vortex before moving to shoulder work on the south end of the old airport area off Markley Road, south of Dean Evans Stadium. After the old airport work is complete, crews are expected to return to pave Wall Street.
Traffic will be maintained through the work zones, but lane restrictions will vary by street. On two-lane streets, traffic will be reduced to a single open lane.
Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to slow down and use caution when traveling through the work zones.
The work is part of the City of Salina’s 2026 street maintenance capital improvement program, a $5.9 million effort to maintain and improve city streets.
