Salina Average Rent Stays Below $1,000 After Late-Spring Slide
Average monthly rent in Salina came in at $997 on June 24, keeping the local rental marker below the $1,000 line for a third straight weekly reading.
The latest figure was up slightly from $993 on June 17 and $990 on June 10, but it remained well below the recent spring levels recorded in May.
The June readings so far average $995, down 4.7% from May’s $1,044.50 average.
That marks a cooling from the May 13 reading of $1,061 and the March readings above $1,090. In the recorded data, the broader average is $1,075.80, putting the latest Salina rent figure about $79 below that benchmark.
The short-term trend has started to edge upward again, rising from $990 to $993 to $997 across the last three readings.
Still, the bigger story is that June has stayed materially cheaper than May in the tracked rental data.
