Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Elderly Resident
A Salina man was arrested Saturday evening after allegedly threatening an elderly resident during an argument at a home in north Salina.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers responded at approximately 6:00 p.m. on June 27, 2026, to a residence in the 100 block of North College Street for a report of threats.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 79-year-old female resident who reported becoming involved in a verbal argument after a pet accidentally got out of the residence.
During the dispute, another resident, identified as 20-year-old Micah Carrico, allegedly threatened to strangle the woman.
Carrico was still at the residence when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Saline County Jail and booked on one count of criminal threat.
No injuries were reported.
