Central Mall’s “Temporary” Closure Stretches On as Only Three Outside-Entrance Businesses Remain Open
Central Mall remains closed following storm damage, with only three businesses currently listed as operating through outside entrances.
According to updated mall information, the businesses still listed as open are:
District Eat & Play — open until midnight
Dunham’s Sports — open until 7:00 p.m.
Ross Dress for Less — open until 8:00 p.m.
An earlier Central Mall notice from April listed several businesses as remaining open through outside entrances while the mall itself was temporarily closed. However, the current list has narrowed to the three businesses above.
The mall itself remains closed.
The continued closure comes as Salina311 has reported multiple business closures tied to Central Mall, including Old Navy, Books-A-Million, Carlos O’Kelly’s, AMC Salina 10 and others. Staff at several of those locations have told Salina311 they were informed the mall would not be reopening.
However, that has not been confirmed by Central Mall management. Salina311 has made multiple attempts to reach Central Mall management for comment and clarification regarding the mall’s long-term status, but those attempts have not resulted in confirmation.
