Richard Todd Powell
March 30, 1967 - July 5, 2026

Richard Todd Powell , 59, of Salina, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at home. He was born on March 30, 1967, in Norton, Kansas to Dale and Louise (Sauer) Powell. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy soon after his graduation from Norton High School and served in the Gulf War as an avionics technician aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Saratoga. He had various occupations upon his discharge from the military but settled into a position as an avionics technician at Bombardier Learjet in Wichita, Kansas for 20+ years.
Richard married his high school sweetheart, Leann Crayton, on November 17, 2007, in Salina, Kansas and they’ve spent the last 20+ years raising their family and going on numerous adventures.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Powell, brother-in-law, Larry Crayton, sister-in-law, Leigh Powell, and best friend, Tony Wilson. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Megan Mack Moray (Will) and Shelby Werner (Joshua); grandchildren, Olivia, Finlee, Maverick, Serenity, Kaladin, Wilder, and River Werner; brothers, Curtis Powell (Yolanda) and Robert Powell; sister, Vicky Crayton (Lewis) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Salina, Kansas. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm Thursday evening, July 9, 2026 at the Ryan Mortuary, Salina, where the family will receive friends from 5 until 6 pm that evening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Imagination Library of Kansas; Storytime Village, or Reach Out and Read Kansas City in care of Ryan Mortuary.

Cary E. Johnson
July 4, 2026 - July 27, 1948
Cary Eugene Johnson, 77, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026.
Cary was born on July 27, 1948, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Walter Johnson, Jr. and Iona Maxine (Henry) DePoy, who preceded him in death.
Cary had a deep love for fishing, the mountains, and dressing like a cowboy. He was a master baker whose talents brought joy to family and friends. Above all, he will be remembered as a kind, loving, and generous man, as well as a devoted father.
Cary proudly served his country in both the United States Army National Guard and the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his four daughters: Lori Dow of Laramie, Wyoming, Peggy Worley of Colorado; Tracy Thompson of Locust Grove, Arkansas, Annette Pope (Donald Pope Jr.) of California; and He is also survived by two sons, Timothy Johnson of California and Ricky Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
In addition, Cary leaves behind nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sisters, Kathy Garcia and Deborah Taylor, both of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and one brother, Randall Johnson of Salina, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dennis Johnson; and his sister, Denise Johnson.
In accordance with Cary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
