Burglary Reported at South Salina Smoke Shop
Police are investigating a burglary at a south Salina business that resulted in thousands of dollars in merchandise being stolen.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers were notified at approximately 9:20 a.m. on July 13, 2026, after employees of VIP Smoke Shop, 2018 S. Ninth Street, discovered evidence of a break-in when they arrived for work.
Employees reported finding numerous items scattered throughout the store and determined that a burglary had occurred. Investigators located signs of forced entry at the rear of the business.
The business reported that a variety of vape products, tobacco products, and pipes had been stolen. The estimated value of the stolen merchandise was just over $9,000.
During the investigation, officers located numerous items discarded outside several businesses away from the smoke shop. Approximately $6,000 worth of the stolen property was recovered and returned.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
The case remains under investigation.
