Roy "Doug" Douglas Clemence

Roy Douglas “Doug” Clemence, 87, of Salina, Kansas, passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2026.

Doug was born on July 28, 1938, in Abilene, Kansas, to Roy Arthur and Zella Odessa (Smith) Clemence. He grew up in the Sand Springs community west of Abilene, where he developed the strong work ethic, honesty, and faith that defined his life.

Doug shared 53 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Deanna “Dee” (Elliott). He was a lifelong trader, he enjoyed traveling, making deals, and sharing stories with family and friends. His remarkable memory, warm personality, and quick wit made him a joy to know.

Above all, Doug was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. His steadfast faith, love for his family, and generous spirit were evident throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife; his brother; two sons; two daughters; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Mitch.

Doug will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his love of family, and the friendships he built through a lifetime of traveling, trading, and treating others with kindness.

William "Bill" Robert Hobaugh

William "Bill" Robert Hobaugh, 79, of Lindsborg, Kansas, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.

William was born on July 23, 1946, in Junction City, Kansas, the son of Emma Marie (Kensing) Hobaugh.

On May 28, 2017, William married Mary Jane Newingham at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Hobaugh, of the home; his daughters, Terri Parry (Craig) of Morganville, Kansas, and Michele (Bill) Dunham of O'Fallon, Missouri; sons, Larry Newingham (Joan), of Salina, Kansas, Jack Newingham, of Gypsum, Kansas.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Layne, Kristi, Janell, David, Matthew, Eric (Lisa), Alyssa; and his 15 great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include his sisters, Florene "Flo" (Jan) Kroeze of Eldridge, Iowa, and Joyce (Steve) Woodard of Junction City, Kansas; and his brother, Richard Hobaugh of Junction City, Kansas.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Emma Marie Hobaugh.

In accordance with William's wishes, cremation has taken place.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 320 N Main St, Lindsborg, Kansas. Burial of Bill's cremated remains will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

Donations may be made in William's name to the American Cancer Society .
