Salina Man Arrested After Allegedly Striking Co-Resident With Vehicle
On July 18, 2026, at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Belmont and Magnolia after receiving a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Witnesses reported that a disagreement occurred between a 72-year-old male and Andrew Quinley, 46, of Salina, while they were traveling together in a vehicle. The victim exited the vehicle and began walking around it when Quinley allegedly drove forward and struck him.
The impact knocked the victim to the ground. Witnesses reported the collision appeared intentional and was not an accident. Quinley then left the scene.
Salina EMS evaluated the victim, who complained of neck pain and a headache. The victim initially declined transport but later sought medical treatment at a hospital.
Officers later located Quinley at his residence and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Saline County Jail on a charge of Aggravated Domestic Battery.
