Stolen Silverado Recovered in Salina; Man Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges
On July 17, 2026, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Salina Police officers received a FLOCK alert indicating a stolen Chevrolet Silverado, previously reported stolen from the 1500 block of North Ninth Street, was traveling within the city.
Officers began searching for the vehicle and, with assistance from the Kansas Highway Patrol, located it in the Quick Shop parking lot in the 1600 block of South Ninth Street. Authorities observed a male subject exiting the business and entering the stolen truck.
The suspect was identified as Brent Corwin, 45, of Salina. Officers and troopers contacted Corwin as he entered the vehicle and took him into custody without incident.
During a search of the Silverado, officers located methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. Investigators also determined the controlled substance did not have the required Kansas drug tax stamp.
Corwin was booked into the Saline County Jail on charges including Felony Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No Kansas Drug Tax Stamp.
The stolen Silverado was recovered, and the investigation remains ongoing.
